They gave Ellie this super cute sweater, a teething ring, the pink bow, and suckers. Ellie dug in right away.
The cake is ready and it is time to sing to our little girl.
As tradition goes, for the first birthday we make a small cake for the one year old to dig into. Here Ellie is sampling her cake. She did well at eating the cake. By the end of the whole process she was a mess and needed a bath.

Her main toy gift was a Ni Hao Kai Lan doll! Since she is Ellie Mei, she must have a Chinese doll for her. She has been so cute with it! Emma likes it too, but this is one toy that is officially Ellie's.

It is time for Ellie's one year wellness appointment. Ellie slipped her body through this small place while she waited for her turn to see the doctor.
Ellie was really busy at the doctor's office.
