Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Since we are in TX, we flew Kyle down to spend a week with us. We had a great time. We have sure missed seeing Kyle as often as we used to. We could tell he had changed a little bit in maturity. It was so fun to play with Kyle all week and introduce him to cousins on my side of the family in Texas.
One thing we did, was sugar cookie decorating. We got together and lots of sugary fun.
Oma, Opa, David, and the Hughes family were in Houston. So, the rest of us got together and decorated cookies. It was so fun to be together and Kyle fit right in with everyone else.
This was the first time Emma actually decorated cookies instead of eating all the candy.
Here are our three kiddos
Kyle had a lot of fun letting his creativity juices flow with decorating cookies.
Pull n Peel twizzlers made for fun garland on the Christmas Trees.
Grannie, my mothers mom, came and stayed with us for a week and a half. Emma took advantage of having a new friend to play with her and her little princesses. It was great to see Grannie and spend time with her. My kids were able to get to know her more.
These glasses were on the countdown calendar for Ellie and were quite the popular accessory. Emma and Ellie were constantly fighting over these glasses. You have to admit, they are pretty cool!

While Kyle was here, we had him open a few gifts from us for Christmas.
Justin Bieber Christmas CD, Kung Zhu tracks and pets, remote control helicopter, and some Pokemon toys.
The girls also opened one of their gifts from mom and dad. This helped to keep them away from bothering Kyle's new toys.

On Christmas Eve, I grabbed my Jerusalem clothes so we could tell the story of Christ's birth. We have been telling the girls this story all month long, and on Christmas Eve we acted it out. Oma was the angel, David was Joseph, Emma was Mary, Opa was the shepherd, and Ellie and Daddy were the wisemen. It was a very fun retelling of the nativity story.

Christmas Day came and Santa sure spoiled the girls. We had so much fun playing with all their new toys. Here is Ellie with her loot behind her.
Emma and her stash of goodness. All in all it was a great day. More pictures will follow with the girls opening presents from different people for Christmas.
