Kara invited us to come to the amazing ice sculptures at the Texas Gaylord. Kung Fu Panda was also featured in their tubing station. We had an amazing time. We were so lucky to go at a time when Oma could join in on the play date fun!

Because the sculptures are made completely out of ice, everyone had to wear these big blue parkas. It was extremely cold, but the parkas kept us plenty warm.

This years feature was Shrek the Halls. My kids love Shrek, and have been watching the holiday mini several times a week this holiday season, so it was fun to see the movie played out in solid ice.

Emma and Donkey
It was so nice to have Oma there to help me corral my kiddos and enjoy on the fun.

Look how huge Shrek is compared to us. Solid ice...amazing!

Of course we had to pose in front of the Shrek babies.

Emma and Puss in Boots
This was a port- a- potty ice sculpture. You can tell by Kaiya's face that it was funny to think that all three girls could sit on the port-a-potty

The best part of the adventure was the ice slides you could go down. If you lifted up your feet so they didn't drag, you could go down pretty fast. Emma and Kaiya loved going down these slides.

Ellie on the other hand, was a little nervous, and they had to pull her down with a candy cane crook. It was so funny.

Emma would have slid all day if I had let her.

Coming this far, Oma just couldn't pass up the opportunity to let her inner kid enjoy the ice slides.

Touching the ice

My mini me!

This was so fun and so neat to experience. I am so glad we decided to go and it was 2 for 1 day.
The Gaylord was decorated quite beautifully and we had to take many photos of the girls having fun. Sadly, very few have all 3 girls looking at the camera.

The bestest of cousins
Waiting for Kara to get a better hat for Ellie, one that would stay covering her ears.
