We had the unique opportunity to attend the Brigham City Temple ground breaking. It was a neat experience. Elder Boyd K. Packer spoke at it. Boyd was so excited to see this take place. He grew up here and has told me more than once he felt one day there would be a temple here. We loaded up the kids, made the 1hr plus drive north and made it in time to hear Elder Packer's talk and ground breaking prayer. After all the official people had a chance to turn the dirt, they opened this opportunity to anyone in the area. So, we took our turns as a family turning the dirt for a new temple in Boyd's hometown.
I had Kyle come to our home a day early as a surprise for Boyd this year. So, Kyle came on Boyd's birthday. It was fun for Kyle to pop out of his favorite hiding place and surprise his Dad. We had cake, ice cream, and Boyd opened presents. Happy Birthday Honey!
I am so glad my mother, Oma, came to watch my girls this summer. Emma knows her, though she refused to call her by her name, Oma. Emma calls her Opa. My little girl is a tease for sure. My mother was great with our children. They were taken care of so well with her. This picture is of Oma with Emma in her 2nd Easter dress given by Oma and Ellie in Emma's 1st Easter dress given by Oma. It thought it was fitting to get this on film. Thank you Mom for coming to my home and watching the girls. They know and love you. Also, thanks for spreading health our way with your recent knowledge on such things. I have been trying to make little adjustments and I feel better and have lost some pounds as well.
Opa came with my mother as well. It was great to have another person hold Ellie, so we could get things done around the house.
