Pioneer Day Pics

On the 24th of July, we rushed downtown to see the Days of '47 Parade.  It was overcast, which made for a day of cool parade watching weather.
My favorite part was when people marched in the parade dressed up as pioneers with handcarts and wagons.
Their were a few Noah's ark floats and we had to take a picture of these for Kara who grew up loving Noah's ark things.
After the parade, we went to City Creek Center for some lunch and play time.
The girls love this dinosaur playground area.

Then we walked around this outside mall.  The kids found the splash pad and splashed away.  By this time, the sun had come out and splashing seemed to be the best way to cool off.
Emma and Ellie had so much fun.
We came home, took a nap, and then watched the fireworks.  We were just behind the fireworks.  It was the perfect spot.  I was impressed with their firework display.
Porter is oooing at the fireworks.

What a fun way to celebrate the early members of the church. Thanks for my pic and I just love that sweet thing in front of the ark! Also I'm loving Porter's face during the firework display.
